Saracen Donkey Diet has been specifically developed as a whole cereal free diet for donkeys that’s low in energy and protein but high in fibre. Without the excessive nutrients that can be harmful to donkeys, the feed is fully fortified to optimise body condition and health.

Donkeys require a much lower levels of energy and nutrients than horses and ponies. Saracen Donkey Diet contains digestible fibres that provide a source of ‘safer’ calories without the addition of cereals and starch. Quality proteins provide optimum cell, tissue and muscle repair while a full spectrum of the right vitamins and minerals support healthy hooves, coat shine, skin condition and metabolic system.

It’s high fibre, low energy formulation is suitable for donkeys prone to laminitis or metabolic syndrome. It can also be soaked to produce a soft, palatable mash for older donkeys and those with poor teeth, ensuring fibre intake maintenance and healthy digestive function. However, it is not designed to replace a donkey’s forage needs and short, chopped forage should be fed in conjunction with Saracen Donkey Diet.
